Site-based management means that parents and teachers have a say in the operation of the school. The school is run by a Board of Directors which is composed of teachers, parents and 1 community member and elected by the parents, staff and community partners of the school. Charter schools are held accountable by their authorizers for academic and non-academic outcomes.
