Teaching at CVA is pretty much my favorite thing ever.  The students are rock stars.  My friends and family will tell you that I frequently make Facebook posts like “Is there anything better than a unit on WWI? #iloveteaching”.  I attended school for history and art at Loyola University in New Orleans and the U of M in Minneapolis with a semester abroad in London before getting my Masters in Social Studies Ed at the U.  In my spare time I like to travel, run, cook, write, play with my cat, spend time with friends, travel, read about history, watch Star Trek, take selfies, drink coffee, and… travel some more!  This summer I’m excited to go back to Kenya as assistant director and educational coordinator for summer camp, then I get to return to CVA and teach some super fun social studies classes to some totally amazing students!
